SCHEDULING
An initial session may be set up by calling me at (816)686-6277. If I cannot answer the telephone at the time of your call, please leave a message on my confidential voicemail and I will return your call promptly. Sessions typically last fifty minutes. If you wish to have a longer session, I am happy to accommodate you at an additional prorated fee.
INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT
I do not accept insurance; however, I do provide an invoice for potential insurance reimbursement. I am considered “out of network” for health insurance providers. Your insurance carrier can clarify the reimbursement amount and the information needed for claims.
GROUP THERAPY
RelationSkills offers group therapy. Group therapy produces specific dynamics that increase healing and fosters a culture of cohesiveness, support, and integration. The interaction between group members provides the engine for change, and my role as group leader is to facilitate that experience for the group members. Groups, which meet weekly, are typically limited to eight people and last ninety minutes.
Groups typically meet through a special HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform, but several times a year we meet in person in my Reston, Virginia office.
COUPLES THERAPY
As a Level Three Trained Gottman Couples therapist, I work with couples in individual sessions, but most often I work in what John Gottman calls “marathon therapy,” in which I work with the couple in increments of three, six, nine, or twelve hour sessions to maximize the benefit to the couple in a more time-effective manner. I am happy to discuss these options with you to determine which modality would be a better fit for you.

My office is conveniently located in Reston, Virginia just northeast of the Reston Town Center at 11704 Bowman Green Drive, Suite 100. I am a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider and conduct much of my therapy practice through a special HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform.
I also work in the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. I do not have an office in Kansas City, but provide virtual sessions. In person sessions can be arranged if that is determined to be preferable.
